PINGU POP-UP STORE
A pop-up store that brought the beloved animated character PINGU into the offline world, held sequentially across four locations in 2024 and early 2025: The Hyundai Daegu, Busan, Jamsil, and Seoul.
Based on licensed IP content, the project was fully executed in-house—from planning and design to construction, production, and operation—with a focus on creating everyday experiential content that captured the character’s charm.
At The Hyundai Seoul alone, the pop-up attracted over 120,000 cumulative visitors, making it the most visited pop-up store of 2024.
The space featured interactive content inspired by PINGU’s various expressions and movements, a goods zone, and mission-based participatory activities.
By leveraging emotional familiarity and playful visuals that resonated with all generations, the project achieved high dwell time and viral exposure on social media—making it a standout case in character-driven offline branding.
